April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4, 1995. When she was in the seventh grade, she started playing the guitar as well as taking piano classes, which ignited her passion for writing songs. In April, when she was 12 years old She composed her debut single, Different. As April approached 14 years old, she devoted an enormous amount of time making song concepts and perfecting the music. She started writing songs along with her dad in NY and LA shortly after. April was also able to add other themes in the track "Take My Hand" for some of acquaintances who faced problems like peer pressure, issues, or even teens who committed suicide. Lockhart also has an ever-growing popularity as a lifestyle influencer and is employed by the renowned Clean Beauty company Ilia. The truth is that she was born without a left hand. This creates her unique. However, this isn't the only characteristic of her. Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't conceal her handicap, but it doesn't focus solely on the issue. The profile is a statement. The message? That we each contain multitudes, that our physical and identity selves are not all that appear. Lockhart said via video that she doesn't wish to be defined by her disability. She doesn't want to become a disability advocate who only talks about disability. There are many aspects of Lockhart. And it doesn't affect my daily life. I conduct every day as normal and have found my own method of adjusting things. It's also a part of me, and I believe that it is something to be talked about. Lockhart has served as an excellent inspiration to her fellow women with regards to acceptance of oneself. She admits that she has had periods where she felt insecure about the way she dressed and showed her arms. She wears whatever she wants and is proud to post pictures of herself in the outfits she wears on social media. One of the keys to self-love for her is that it's not a place to go.
